This job can be worked remotely anywhere within the U.S with occasional (10% or less) travel to various SAIC or customer sites.

As part of our Engineering Innovation Factory Team, you will engage with other engineering and digital engineering subject matter experts and foster broader understanding of their data, tools, metrics and design lifecycle management needs to assist them in developing digital work products.  Interns will also be able to engage with the larger community (industry, government, and academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities in the areas of engineering design, data analytics, reporting, visualization, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards.  The successful candidate shall have a passion for solving problems using both proven and trusted methods as well as new and innovative methods.

Ability to perform most or all of the following duties:

• Support Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering continuous improvements
• Support development and administration of Digital Engineering ecosystem
• Provide technical support within the SAIC or for customer tasks using established procedures
• Develop software to interface tools and capabilities to interface with external data sources.

• Develop specifications for selecting hardware, components, and equipment to use
• Review designs produced by senior engineers for accuracy and awareness
• Responsible for generating portions of designs to integrate into larger systems

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

• Three (3) or more years of college experience towards an engineering Bachelors degree with coursework in the fields for General Engineering, including mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering Entry Level Jobs In Science Applications US
• Alternatively, Associate’s degree in related engineering discipline and one (1) year or more of related experience
• S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required
• Ability to use engineering software tools including mechanical CAD, electrical CAD, Product Lifecycle Management and Requirements management tools, finite element tools, MATLAB, and other engineering applications
• Capability to utilize basic engineering hardware and methods, and engineering test equipment to perform basic engineering activities
